New services in Winchester

We will begin operating two new routes in Winchester from 16th January 2012, under contract to Hampshire County Council.
Velvet 2 will link Oliver's Battery and The Valley with Sainsbury's at Badger Farm and Winchester City Centre, with three journeys per day. Velvet 6a will link Abbotts Barton with Winchester City Centre twice a day.
Both routes operate Monday to Friday, with no service at weekends or bank holidays. You can see the timetables here.
These routes were previously operated by other companies and have seen significant changes during 2011. We have been awarded a contract to operate the 2 and 6a until June 2012, to give Hampshire County Council time to make arrangements that will bring stability to both routes for a number of years.
